Acercando Realidades Association, founded in 1995, is a humanist project led by women with extensive experience in specialized work with vulnerable groups. Over the years, it has implemented and managed numerous programs and projects related to social intervention, child and family protection, socio-labor integration, and socio-educational and psychotherapeutic support.

A core pillar of the organization is its gender perspective, bringing quality, warmth, equity, and reciprocity to everything we do. First-person care, presence, a pedagogy rooted in affection, and everyday life are the cornerstones of our intervention model, reflecting our humanist commitment.

One of our greatest strengths lies in our extensive experience working with vulnerable groups, our dedicated human capital, and our robust Resource Network. This network has been built over more than 25 years of close collaboration with both public and private organizations, amplifying our impact.

Guided by the philosophical principles of humanism and third-generation approaches, together with our experience, support networks, commitment, and values, our current strategic goal is to drive new projects. We draw inspiration from Horizon Europe as a framework for tackling new challenges in innovation and social research, always aimed at contributing to society’s major global challenges.

The organization has 168 members and a Board of Directors made up of four women, with Rocío Gallardo Parra as president, Yolanda Pozo Bellver as secretary, and Rocío Madera Ruiz as treasurer.

“Equality, a commitment of the Board of Acercando Realidades Association”

Ms. Rocío Gallardo Parra, ID 28631316L, representing Acercando Realidades Association, with registered address at Calle Padre Damián Nº10 1ºA, Seville, declares her commitment to the development and implementation of policies that promote equal treatment and opportunities between women and men, without direct or indirect discrimination based on sex. This is reflected in the inclusion of measures that guarantee real equality within our association, incorporating equal opportunity as a strategic principle of our Corporate and Human Resources Policy, in accordance with the definition established by Organic Law 3/2007 of March 22 for effective equality between women and men.

There is ongoing communication keeping the entire team informed about actions and decisions made in this regard.

At ACRE, we are committed to real equality between women and men, and we implement this through an Equality Plan that outlines specific measures to bring us closer to this goal. A representative is appointed to represent the employees throughout the negotiation, development, and evaluation of this Plan. In this way, the principle of Equal Opportunities is applied across all areas of activity within the organization—from recruitment and working conditions to balancing personal, family, and work life—paying special attention to situations that may involve indirect discrimination. This refers to situations where an apparently neutral policy or practice puts individuals of one sex at a disadvantage compared to the other, unless it can be objectively justified by a legitimate aim and the means used to achieve that aim are appropriate and necessary.

Thus, the association commits to providing the necessary resources—both material and human—for the creation, definition, and implementation of the first Equality Plan.
