IMAGES Project

Our organization has been selected to be part of IMAGES, a European Erasmus+ project in collaboration with France, Greenland, and Madagascar.

IMAGES offers young people under child protection the opportunity to express themselves and overcome challenges through photo reportage. Through this process, they build resilience, discover their abilities, and gain confidence for their future.

The project also promotes the responsible use of digital tools and fosters the exchange of experiences among professionals, broadening their educational and career perspectives.

We believe in the transformative power of European programs.

They allow us to connect with organizations from other countries, share learnings, and create real opportunities for young people in care. These projects offer a safe space to express themselves, travel, discover new cultures, and, above all, become visible.

Thanks to these initiatives, we help ensure their voices are included in the design of European policies. We are proud to promote this openness to the world and accompany them on their path toward a life with more rights, more tools, and more future.

Invisibles Project

At Acercando Realidades, we launched INVISIBLES with a clear goal: to give voice, visibility, and dignity to young people within the child protection system. Through artistic creation and collective work, we open up spaces where they can express themselves, share their stories, and break the stigmas that surround them.

The young people who participate in this project don’t vote, they don’t consume, and for that reason, they’re often left out of the social and political spotlight. They grow up marked by contexts of violence, neglect, or exclusion, and any difficulty they face tends to reinforce unfair labels: they are seen as “troubled youth,” when in reality, they are young people with problems—problems rooted in a society that doesn’t always protect them as it should.

INVISIBLES was born from our experience and commitment in the protection system. It’s a project built on listening, empathy, and everyday activism. For those who collaborate with us, it’s not just an artistic initiative—it’s a turning point. As one of the creators told us:

“I thought it would be just another project in my career, but it ended up leading me down a path I hadn’t yet explored—neither as a person nor as a creator.”

We continue to build dreams with them. Because we believe that social justice begins by looking where others choose not to look.
